Most people, including many lawyers, have little idea how tough it is to go to trial. Like all members of the Trial Group, Ken Millman does. Before joining Leisawitz Heller, Ken was an Assistant District Attorney in Berks County and served as the lead attorney representing the Commonwealth at hundreds of hearings and trials. Today he concentrates his practice in personal injury and commercial litigation. He also practices criminal defense, primarily representing those charged with driving under the influence. Ken has significant experience in jury trials where he has successfully obtained verdicts in his clients’ favor, both in personal injury and criminal matters. Additionally, Ken is experienced in alternative dispute resolution as he has successfully represented clients at both arbitrations and mediations and has served as an arbitrator.
Activities, Awards & Education
Ken played football for Franklin and Marshall College where he received his B.A. degree, before graduating cum laude from Widener University School of Law. There, he distinguished himself as a winner of the American Jurisprudence Award and was the recipient of several other academic honors.
Ken and his wife reside in Exeter Township with their two sons. A sports enthusiast, he coaches youth football in Reading, emphasizing to kids that there is no “I” in team. It’s something he carries over into Leisawitz Heller as well. “Our ability to work as a team on very complicated issues is uncommon among other attorneys in this area,” he says. “We’re disciplined. We work well together.”
