"My business experience in addition to my MBA has provided me with an insider’s perspective of the complexities and challenges facing modern businesses and will enable me to better serve my clients."

Ben Leisawitz joined Leisawitz Heller in 2012 and will focus his practice in the firm’s Business and Estate & Trust Groups.

Leisawitz received his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law where he ranked in the top 5% of the class and graduated magna cum laude. In 2012, Ben became a member of the national honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. At Widener, he served as a managing editor on the nationally ranked Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. Ben authored an article that was published in Vol. 36:2 of the Journal and was the 2011 recipient of “The Donald E. Pease Memorial Award” for best student article. In 2012, Ben was the recipient of “The Russel R. Levin Memorial Award” presented to the most valuable member of the Journal. During law school, Ben served as a judicial clerk for Berks County’s President Judge, the Honorable Jeffrey L. Schmehl. Additionally, he worked as a summer law clerk for a large law firm headquartered in Reading.

A Berks County native, Ben is an alumnus of Reading Senior High School where he was named to the First-Team, All Lancaster-Lebanon League in football and was the co-captain of the baseball team. Ben went on to be a four-year varsity letter winner at Muhlenberg College and the 2002 recipient of the “Player’s Player Award”—the team’s most valuable player—on the most successful baseball team in school history. After graduating from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Ben gained seven years of business experience, having worked for both a large corporation and a small family-held business. His job responsibilities were vast, including sales, marketing, purchasing, and management. While working, Ben earned his master’s degree in business from Alvernia University.

Ben is excited to return to Berks County and become involved with the community in which he was raised. Along with his wife Michele and daughter Leah, Ben resides in Wyomissing.
