Having spent my career in the courtroom, I know what it takes to win – preparation and communication. I will diligently and efficiently prepare your case and communicate regularly and clearly with you to achieve a positive outcome.

Jesse Leisawitz joined the law firm of Leisawitz Heller in 2016 after serving five and a half years as an Assistant District Attorney (A.D.A.) in Berks County Pennsylvania. As an A.D.A., Jesse prosecuted over a thousand cases on behalf of the Commonwealth ranging from DUI to homicide. Jesse routinely argued and briefed motions at the trial court level, and successfully tried cases to verdict before judges and juries alike. Since 2014, Jesse also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. In that role, Jesse prosecuted cases in the United States District Court on behalf of the federal government.

Jesse attended The George Washington University, where he earned a B.A., magna cum laude. Jesse then attended Duquesne University School of Law, where he earned a J.D., magna cum laude, and graduated in the top ten percent of his class.

After graduation from law school, Jesse served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Paul M. Yatron in the Berks County Court of Common Pleas and then to the late Hon. Thomas M. Golden in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Jesse also worked in the health care department of a nationally-recognized insurance defense law firm based in Philadelphia.

Jesse has taught at the Reading Police Academy at Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania, and he has given trainings and seminars to local law enforcement officers.

Jesse now focuses his practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation and personal injury cases.

A Berks County native, Jesse was born and raised in Reading and graduated from Reading Senior High School. Currently, he resides in Wyomissing with his wife, Jessica, and their daughter, Rose.
