Trucker receives criminal charges for fatal accident

On Nov. 19, a truck accident in Pennsylvania killed two people and injured nine others. The 50-year-old truck driver, who is believed to be responsible for the accident, has received criminal charges. According to reports, the driver fell asleep at the wheel before slamming into several cars. He has been charged for two counts of homicide by vehicle, two counts for involuntary manslaughter, 10 counts for reckless endangerment and nine counts for aggravated assault while driving.

Pennsylvania man sentenced in double fatal 2011 accident

On Nov. 10, a judge in Pennsylvania sentenced a 35-year-old man for his role in a 2011 accident that claimed two lives, authorities reported. The man had entered a guilty plea to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of DUI. Prosecutors claim that the man had used marijuana and synthetic marijuana before the accident.

Car that avoided hitting deer causes fatal Pennsylvania crash

A vehicle collision on Route 66 near Red Bank ended in the death of a New Kensington man on Nov. 8. According to police officers, the accident occurred at about 10 p.m. when the driver of a northbound SUV lost control after attempting to avoid a collision with a deer. The SUV then skidded on the wet road and crossed into the southbound lane.

Pennsylvania man facing manslaughter charges linked to DUI crash

A Pennsylvania man has been extradited from North Carolina to face charges stemming from a collision on May 28 that left a 34-year-old man dead. Reports state that the incident occurred when the driver of a box truck, the 42-year-old man now facing charges, failed to stop and crashed into another vehicle in Whitehall. It is believed that alcohol played a part in the fatal accident.
