Any motor vehicle accident can cause serious headaches for those trapped in the area. Even small accidents can back up traffic for hours and lead to other delays. These hassles, however, are nothing compared to the issues that accident victims must deal with.
In particular, truck accidents can cause severe damage to property and to people. Trucks are large pieces of machinery and have the potential to cause serious damage.
Recently, in Pennsylvania, a truck accident killed one person and injured another. In this case, two tractor-trailers were traveling east on I-90 at around 1:55 p.m. when the accident occurred.
According to reports, the driver of one of the trucks failed to slow down to avoid a collision with another truck. Apparently, as one truck slowed, the other failed to respond. When the truck driver realized a collision could be imminent, the driver tried to switch lanes but was unable to avoid a collision.
As a result of the collision between the two trucks, the truck that was hit smashed into a median. The other truck stopped after blocking two lanes of traffic.
In the accident, one of the truck drivers was killed. Additionally, a passenger in one of the trucks was injured. That person was taken to a local hospital. Police are now trying to identify the fatal accident victim.
It takes a lot of work to identify the cause of a truck accident. Truck accident victims often need to focus on the physical recovery and not on these other details. However, these details can be important in a personal injury suit. In such a suit, truck accident victims may be able to receive compensation for their injuries.
