Motorcyclist seriously injured in Pennsylvania crash

The weather in Pennsylvania is getting warmer every day. As summer approaches, motorcycles are reappearing on Pennsylvania roadways. As motorcycles become more prominent on local streets and highways, drivers need to adjust their driving to account for the smaller vehicles. An accident involving a motorcycle can lead to serious injuries to those on the bike.

Sadly, many drivers fail to recognize the risk they put motorcyclists in when driving. Many fail to check for motorcyclists or fail to recognize how fast these bikes are going. Therefore, they cause serious motorcycle accidents that leave people with devastating injuries.

Recently, one such injury and accident occurred in Pennsylvania. In this case, very few details about the actual accident have been released. However, the accident involved a motorcycle and a car. Onlookers claim that the motorcyclist was unconscious following the accident. A passerby performed CPR on the motorcyclist until emergency services got to the scene. Once emergency crews arrived, the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital. However, the motorcyclist's condition is unknown at this time.

The street where the accident occurred was shut down following the accident so police could investigate the crash. An investigation is often an important part of discovering why a motorcycle accident happened and whether the crash could've been prevented.

Motorcycle accident victims should understand their legal rights following an accident like this one. Motorcycle accidents can leave people with serious and lifelong injuries that can cost thousands of dollars to treat. If a negligent driver causes the accident, motorcycle accident victims may be entitled to compensation.
